Leo was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome around the age of five. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Politics at the University Essex and a Masters in International Security from the University of Warwick. He became a Student Union representative at the University of Essex, serving on the National Union of Students (NUS) Disabled Students’ Committee for one year and getting the ‘Committee Member of The Year Award’ for 2008.
After NUS, Leo has worked and volunteered for a number of charities. He currently works as a campaign project co-ordinator for a certain disabled peoples’ user lead organisation. He also performed disability related duties while working as a clerical assistant for the Department of Environmental Health at a council in North West Essex. Outside of work he’s currently working on various writing projects (both in fiction and non-fiction) and volunteering in one form or another for various charities.
